Lefkada is the fourth largest island in the Ionian Sea and is located very close to the prefecture Etoloakarnania.
It is the only island with road access and for this reason is called "Land Island".
With a population of 22.879 inhabitants, the island covers an area of 302.5 square kilometers. The climate is Mediterranean, with warm wet summers and mild winters.
Tsoukalades is a picturesque village situated in a privileged area on the way to some of the most well-known beaches of the island; the spotless sea of Pefkoulia (2 klm), the beautiful sandy beach of Agios Nikitas (4 klm) with crystal clear waters, the big golden sandy beach of Kathisma, Egremni and the famous Porto Katsiki, which is among the better beaches of the Mediterranean.
The village of mistral, built quite high up above the west coast of Lefkada with a panoramic view to open Ionian Sea, Epirus, Paxos and Corfu islands, with its stunning sunset views, the continuous, from east up to west sunlight, the green landscape and the traditional houses with the orange curved tiles on the roofs being separated by narrow streets, offers the visitor moments of calm and relaxation away from the crowds.
Meet its friendly inhabitants that maintain the local dialect, buy local products such as oil, wine and honey, and taste some traditional dishes in the taverns.
Give yourself the opportunity to experience breathtaking sceneries that release your senses and will indelibly be engraved in your memory showing you the way to holiday again and again.
